Challenge
Fully design and construct a maximalist style packaging for gothic horror stories, as well as the brands identity, stationary forms, and special charms that tie into the novels.

Solution
All things gothic was the inspiration. From church architecture to black letter typography, anything and everything intricate and dark were used to help create the look and feel for this project
Building a "library" as the packaging to encase the books. This library takes on a form similar to gothic cathedrals, with its tall stature, intricate "window panels", and decorative front and back facade.
Each book contains floral illustrations to not only create a cohesive look, but to also relate to each books overall themes, and symbolism.
The typography used across the project is hand-lettered and has an eerie and sharp appearance to relate back to the gothic horror genre.
Impact
The visual system for Dark Anthology creates a dark gothic mood, while still holding on to the elegance and detail of the gothic genre.
