Challenge

Each book cover needed to be distinctive, able to stand on its own while relating to the books content. Three different design approaches were also need for the book covers: an image dominant, type dominant, and a combination of type and image,

Solution

For each cover a different design approach was used to keep each unique and interesting to look at.

  • Type Dominant: Focuses on the gritty errors of design, with ink spears and splatter intertwined with the typography

  • Image Dominant: Showcases different design and art styles through history, collaging a variety of elements together to create one cohesive canvas.

  • Combination: A modern futuristic approach was used, with bold sleek typography combined with multiple texture patterns and lines to bring the whole cover together.
