Illustrate and design the visuals for a story that honors a loved one of the authors who passed away. While also highlighting the passion and support a small gesture can unknowingly cause.
Solution
The overall design and illustration are meant to feel warm and comforting. With rounded, soft typography, bright colors, and wholesome characters.
Characters are designed to look familiar, safe, and trusting, so that everyone is able to relate and identify with them.
The overall illustration style is very cheery and friendly, with a vibrant color scheme, floral motifs, lively backgrounds, and characters.
The typography takes on a handwritten look, making the story more approachable for children while also maintaining its legibility.
